Endgame

Thank you, first, to A.M., who saved this picture from being called "Checkmate". Perhaps Endgame is cliched too, but I prefer it now that I've made my mind up. This was my first still life, partially to play with doing still life, which I've always enjoyed the look of, and partially to get used to using my tripod. The chess set is about fifty years old, and was handmade and handpainted by someone my grandmother knew. Only the Queen and King are featured this time, but there will probably be more, as I love the style of the set, and the game itself.
