Portraits

Portraits are one of the more intimate types of photographs that can be taken, even when they are taken of a single person in a crowd of people.

Traditional portraits are not my forte. I worked for a while as a portrait photographer, and there is just something so silted about that style, to me. I would much rather try to capture the personality of my subject, even better if I can catch them doing something that helps define them.

A small selection, to be sure, but taken together with my portraits of musicians, there is more of my subjects, and, by extension, me, in these photographs than any other.
