Music and Musicians

Living in Newfoundland as I did for a few years, opened me up to a whole new world of music, a world which did not exist to me in Alberta.

Live music at the bar every night, with the big names in local music sidling up to the bar with us "common folk" to banter between sets. A world where the stadium was reserved for those other musicians. A world where the entire crowd, from 19 to 99 could sing along with every song, even though they weren't the sorts of things you'd hear on popular radio stations.

It was intimate, it was open. It was wonderful.
